Mindfulness Training
“Why can’t I turn off this incessant noise?”
“I have read all of the books, listened to all of the ‘experts…’ You can’t say that I am not trying! I get so frustrated. Why can’t I do it? Focus. Breathe. Do this, stop doing that… I thought that this was supposed to be relaxing!”
“I understand that I am easily distracted, but I am only multi-tasking, right?”
“Look, I have a lot on my plate. It’s not as easy to be successful as it was back ‘in the day.’ If I do not stay ahead of the game, well, what happens then? At least I show up! I’m there at romantic dinners, activities with the kids, family get-togethers… Come on now, I’m just checking my messages!”
As not only a mindfulness trainer, but more importantly, as a mindfulness practitioner, I understand that the “path” often appears intimidating.
Mindfulness has been defined as “the ability to be aware and to engage in present-time experience, nonjudgmentally.” At Transcending Horizons, Inc. I offer a program specifically designed to:
- Educate you on just what mindfulness is
- Teach you the components of mindfulness
- Teach you how “consciousness” is essential
- Educate you about the differences between “being there” and “being present”
- Train you on breathing techniques and exercises
- Train and mentor you on meditative, contemplative and reflective/introspection practices
- Help and assist you with implementing mindfulness practices in your daily life
If you have this life to live, learn to live it fully. Otherwise, you’re like a person on a train, traveling through the most beautiful landscape and missing it all because you’re too distracted by the itinerary.
Stand tall and breathe deeply
